Using up leftovers

About 18 months ago, I made a quilt for Astrid and, not surprisingly, ended up with lots of leftover fabric. Last year, I played around with the leftovers and made a group of cushions, which I gave to Astrid just before Christmas.

The first two are simple patchwork designs with stitch-in-the-ditch quilting:

With the next two, I explored some of the many built-in stitches on my Husqvarna Diamond:

Lovely cushions Monica. I have been back through the last couple of blogs, your studio looks fantastic - is it still just as tidy, now a couple of weeks have passed? I can never keep mine tidy for longer than a few days! Thanks for visiting my blog

Another good use for leftovers is bookwraps - here in the UK we are having a fundraiser with them (http://bookwrapgems.wordpress.com/) and on the website you can find patterns and inspiration!
